What we will never do with your name
Confidentiality is easy to promise and expensive to actually operate. These are the specific costs we have accepted in order to keep it, written plainly so you can hold us to them.
- I
No client is ever named
Not in a pitch, not in a case study, not in conversation with another client, not under NDA to a counterparty, and not after the relationship ends. We have declined mandates that required a reference call with an existing client.
- II
No logos, no testimonials, no press
TJF has issued no press release since incorporation and has never participated in a manager ranking. Our absence from those lists is a decision, not an oversight.
- III
Access is scoped to the relationship
Holdings and personal records are visible to the partner responsible for your mandate, one named backup partner, and the operations lead. Every access event is logged. No analyst can enumerate the client register.
- IV
Records leave when you do
On termination we retain only what regulation compels us to retain, for exactly as long as it compels us. Everything else is destroyed within ninety days and you receive written confirmation of it.
- V
No data brokerage, ever
Your information is never enriched, appended, monetised, or shared with an affiliate for marketing. TJF operates no affiliate that would want it.
- VI
Introductions travel one way
Clients introduce us. We do not introduce clients to each other, to bankers, or to opportunities in which we have an interest — unless you ask us to, in writing, each time.
The letters are the founders'. We have never expanded them in print, and we do not intend to start. A house that is difficult to research from the outside is doing something right for the people already inside it.
How to reach us without leaving a trail
Written correspondence to the Fort House address is opened only by the operations lead. Electronic mail to the office address is encrypted at rest and is not indexed. If you require an alternative channel, say so in the access request and we will arrange one before we reply in detail.
Discretion is not a clause. It is an operating cost.
If any of the six articles above is the reason you are still reading, say so in your request. It tells a partner more than the numbers do.
